Ninth Birthday Party Weekend

The girls had a "birthday zone" - a celebration that lasted several days.  It was like Birthday Gras.  Laissez le bonton roulez!

The slumber party Friday night was followed by the Daddy / Daughter Sweetheart Dance Saturday night was followed by the birthday dinner and Super Bowl viewing party Sunday night.  Though the girls weren't that interested in the football.  Presents Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday (mailed from afar).

Birthday Lent starts tomorrow.  (My apologies for my broken Catholic, as well as my mangled New Orleans).

If you look closely, you can hear how loud this was.

This was their cake.  The girls picked it out. It's hard to tell scale, but  this monstrosity could have fed 200.  The girls ate the beach.  And the icing roof.  Which made it look like a cake tsunami had struck the famed "Coconut Beach Cabana."

One of multiple present opening opportunities.

Sympathy for the Devil.  In keeping with the Sweetheart Dance's theme of "Masquerade Ball", Abby dressed up as the Devil, and I dressed up as a random guy with a vaguely tropical shirt.
