This is Your Dog on Drugs

It's Red Ribbon Week again!  There's a new theme.  After successfully removing all traces of drugs from the entire Round Rock School District, the district is now attacking a different problem, one that does not get enough attention.  The problem of drug and alcohol abuse among our pets.

Activities this week will focus on getting cats off crack, dogs off doobies, hamsters off heroin, and sea monkeys off hydrocodone.  Kids will still be wearing socks on their heads and shoes on their hands to bring attention to this serious issue.  Tomorrow is "Fetch, not Retch" day, focusing on getting dogs to fetch balls and sticks in order to keep them from drinking alcohol.

I have to admit I thought this was all silly, till I came home one day and found empty tequila bottles next to Blossom's bed.

We're taking things one day at a time.
