We celebrated Kaileigh's 19th birthday last night at Chez Zee. She brought her boyfriend Brandon to join us and to meet the family. I've met him before.
I was sitting directly across from them, and right behind them was a family with a baby. Babies love me. When the mother picked up the baby and put her on her shoulder, the baby was looking directly over Brandon's shoulder at me.
I can't resist making faces and trying to make babies smile. Brandon looked at me strangely. Then I started playing peek-a-boo.
Brandon: "Um, I see you, Mr. Smith?"
Some fathers try to keep their daughters' boyfriends in line with threats of violence. I find that crazy works best for me.
