Toyota Needs to De-Magnetize Its Cars

Continuing the Smith family's annual tradition of getting hit by a large vehicle, this morning I got (a little) crunched by a cement truck.

We were at a light on the access road to Mopac, and when the light turned, cement truck driver dude decided my lane looked much better than his, and wouldn't it be nice to be one lane over?  Seeing as I was already in that lane, not moving, and with nowhere to go, cement truck crunched Camry.  Certainly not near the scope of 18-Wheeler whacking Sienna, but it was disconcerting to see the large wall of metal approaching and then smushing my car.  For those of you who are worried, the damage to his massive steel bumper was minimal.

Camry and owner are fine.  Well, one of us looks like it just got clipped by a cement truck.  The only time I was in any danger was after, from all the annoyed drivers whipping around us looking very put out.  We caused a bit of a back-up, especially after the firetruck and ambulance showed up.  Sorry, Austin drivers!  I truly regret sitting in my lane, getting hit by a cement truck, and then welcoming an entirely un-needed emergency response fleet that I did not call.  I apologize if my actions (or lack thereof) caused you to be delayed five minutes on your Wednesday morning commute.  My bad.

We (the Smith family) have decided to end our annual tradition, and are undertaking de-magnetization of all vehicles forthwith.
