I realize yet again that my blog posts have been a bit sporadic. (I define "sporadic" as once every other month or so. Once a month would be "intermittent." Though the randomness might make it "desultory".)
I have a good explanation. I completely ran out of funny things to say. I didn't realize I was getting so low (and likely missed the renewal notices). Bastards cut me off early October! So, I called the account rep and was able to restart my account just last week. You did NOT want to be reading my blog posts while my account was inactive. Here, I'll give you a sample:
"I realized today that I am fond of fruit that is yellow or orange in color. And also sometimes red. Oftentimes green (as in kiwi), but generally not blue. Exceptions include peaches and nectarines (both mostly yellow), that I don't like, and blueberries, which I sometimes like, but mostly when frozen."
This runs on for forty-seven pages. I'd be happy to e-mail my treatise "Fruit, Vegetable and Lugume Color Varieties Correlated With My Relative Approval / Dissapproval of Their Taste, Texture, and Mouth-Feel for 172 Common and Exotic Foods" to anyone who is interested.
So, to catch everyone up with the Smith Family goings-on since my last post - we packed up all our belongings into something called a "Pod" in our driveway, and moved out to Lakeway last week so a contractor can rip out our kitchen, bathroom, carpets, and other important aspects of the house and replace them with things we like better. Like pie.
By the way, should anyone be interested in stealing every one of our collected belongings, I bet you could back a truck up to the Pod, attach it, and haul it away for easy opening and perusal at your leisure.
This will also serve as early notice to both of my readers that our annual New Year's Day potluck will not happen this year. Moving it from "annual" to "desultory." (look it up).
