The work is being done on our house! More accurately, for the last two weeks they have been tearing the place apart. The nasty carpet, crumbling tiles, past-their-natural-life appliances...all gone!
Now we are in the phase of picking grout textures and cultured porcelain accent backsplash. This morning Jill and I went to the giant bathroom, kitchen, and butler pantry fixture showroom to choose a sink, a toilet, accent sponges, hanging lights, and matching toilet paper.
Lindsay showed us around and helped us make our choices. This, after Brittany helped us navigate the world of marble. I am awaiting the help of Madison, and then perhaps Dakota.
Our absolute best choice this morning was the biscuit-colored toilet with a magic, self closing lid. I'm hoping the magic sensors can detect whether one is standing when utilizing the fixture versus sitting, as I can think of only a few things more disconcerting than having the magic lid close in the middle of the night as I am...um, utilizing the fixture. I'm also mildly curious why the toilet comes in two colors - white and biscuit. Toilets don't generally make me think of warm bread. Well, they didn't.
