The other night as we were going to bed, we heard a kitten meowing. Jill sits up and exclaims "There's an animal in twouble!!"
Which is, of course, a reference to that awesome children's show "The Wonder Pets" where a goldfish, guinea pig, and a ferret live by day as pets to a kindergarten classroom, but by night become superheroes, saving animals in twouble from around the world. Mainly from hunters, global warming, and bird flu.
This, after we were talking about how our new kittens have taken on specific roles and personalities in the family. Elsie, the girl kitty, is stealthy, a hunter, and seems to have a plan. Leo, the ever-enlargening boy kitty, is a big, smelly, sweet follower. Or, as Jill correctly pointed out - Pinky and the Brain (with Elsie being the Brain).
I love my wife.
BTW - reason #8,119 is "She stays super-hydrated."
