Yesterday I was driving down Lamar and I passed a gentleman waving what looked like a white handkerchief at traffic. He didn't look like he was in distress. He didn't even look like he was trying to catch a ride. I actually think he was trying to surrender to someone.
It reminded me of the gentleman I saw a few years back who was hitchhiking on Loop 610 in Houston. There were many hitchhikers in and around the Houston area, but I remember this guy. I'm not sure if he ever caught a ride, but it didn't really matter. HE WAS HITCHHIKING ON A LOOP!! Exactly where was he trying to go?
