A National Day of Mourning

Sad news on the pet front. The Sea Monkeys are dead. Jill found out, too late, that they cannot survive having the water drained out of their tank and the tank washed with warm water and soap, and then put in the dishwasher on "Normal" cycle. Jill thinks that perhaps the "Rinse and Hold" cycle may have been better for them, but I argue that they were dead the moment they were dumped down the sink. Or at least when she turned on the garbage disposal.

And you know the ironic part of all this? They died ONE DAY after the girls left town for a two week visit with their grandmother in New Mexico. What are the odds?
